Homemade applesauce made with freshly picked apples and some cinnamon sugar is easy to make and taste heavenly delicious. Just follow the recipe and steps below, and you should have delicious applesauce in no time.
32 Ounce Wide Mouth Mason Jar with Lid
Four Large McIntosh Apples, Golden Delicious or Granny Smith
Forth Cup of Cinnamon Sugar
¼ Cup of Organic Apple Juice
Chop the apples in half and toss them into a medium size saucepan with the apple juice, put a lid on the pan, put it onto the stove and turn the burner on medium heat and allow the apples to cook down into a mush. Takes about twenty to thirty minutes. After, place the apples into the food mill over a separate bowl and mill the homemade applesauce into it. Next, discard the apple skins, seeds and core into the garbage can, put your food mill into the sink and add the forth cup of cinnamon sugar to the apple sauce you milled into the bowl and combined it in with the sauce for a delicious warm apple cinnamon sauce. If you are not going to eat the applesauce right away, pour it into the mason jar, place a lid on it and store it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
