The greatest place to go to visit in Maine when you're a little child is "York's Wild Animal Kingdom." York's Wild Animal Kingdom is the perfect place to visit with tons of different animals, explore the buttery fly farm, and get to meet with some of the parks animals in person. York's Wild Kingdom is also the perfect place to go to enjoy the beach and grab a good bite to eat while enjoying the ocean.York's Wild Kingdom is located in York Beach, Maine on Route 1. It is open May through September seven days a week from 10 am until 5 pm. The cost to get into York's Wild Animal Kingdom usually cost around twenty dollars per adult and fifteen dollars per child. York's Wild Kingdom is also handicap accessible, which makes it easy for handicap people to get around and enjoy the zoo as well.
The types of animals you will see at York's Wild Kingdom are from all over the world from places like Australia and Africa. The best animal exhibits to see at York's Wild Kingdom would be the North American Bison, Black Leopards, Black Bear, Tiger, Zebra, and the Two Toed Sloth Exhibit. Other animal things to see at York's Wild Kingdom would the Australian Exhibit and the Elephant Ride and Show. However while your exploring these exhibits you will pass some other amazing animal exhibits as well such as the Wallaby, Lions, Alligators, and Black Swan.
Some other cool things to do inside York's Wild Animal Kingdom would be to visit the petting zoo area where you can feed Billy goats and pet them. You can even visit The Deer Feeding Station where you can go inside a pen with the deer and feed and pet them, which I enjoy doing very much. One of my all time favorite exhibits to visit at York's Wild Kingdom is the Butterfly Kingdom because you can walk inside the butterfly farm and have the butterflies land on you. One more neat thing you could do at York's Wild Animal Kingdom is have pony and elephant rides, which are always really fun to do when you're little.
Other things you can do at York's Wild Kingdom would be to watch animal shows, ride amusement park rides, play miniature golf, walk through a haunted house, and ride go carts. You can even walk the York Beach if you wanted to and shop in the little shops for souvenirs to bring home with your to remember your trip to York's Wild Animal Kingdom on York Beach. Then after you shop and walk the beach you could always go and grab a bite to eat at one of their food stands, or visit some of the restaurants outside the zoo such as The Golden Rod which is my all time favorite place to eat because they not only serve lunch, but homemade ice cream and taffy. Inside The Golden Rod Restaurant they even have a candy shop where you can pick out your own favorite candy goodies to munch on while exploring York's Wild Animal Kingdom.
York's Wild Animal Kingdom is the best place to spend the day with your friends and family to visit with the animals, ride amusement park rides, shop, eat, and walk the beach.
