Are you looking for something fun and exciting to do in Sandusky, Ohio? If you are you need to go and visit "Cedar Point." Cedar Point is a fabulous amusement park filled with tons of amusement park rides, mini golf courses, a water slides, games, and shows. It is the best place to hang out with your friends and family to enjoy a hot summer day of pure fun and excitement.Cedar Point is located in Sandusky, Ohio on One Cedar Point Drive. It is open May 24th until September 1st seven days a week, but hours vary depending on what day of the week it is, but most of the time the park is open from 10 am until 8 pm. The price to get into Cedar Point is 70 dollars for adults and 30 dollars for children, which I know seems a bit pricey, but the price includes the water park as well. You can also rent a locker for the day in one of their locker rooms to put some of your belongings in that you might not want to carry around, but you will have to pay an eight dollar fee.
Some of the amusement park rides there to ride on are thrill rides, which you have to be 48 inches tall to ride, roller coasters, carousels, children's rides, tranquil rides, and water rides. Most all rides require an adult to be on with a younger child who is less than 48 inches tall. I wouldn't recommend taking any little ones on the thrill rides even if they are 48 inches tall and want to go because the thrill rides can be a bit scary. However the children's area is a perfect place to ride children's rides for children who do not want to ride rides with an adult and prefer to ride them alone. I would save the thrill rides and roller coasters for the adults and teens who want to really get their pants scared off and enjoy exciting fast thrilling rides. You can see a list of all the names of the different rides at Cedar Point by going to http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/park/rides/index.cfm.
Now for those people who aren't into riding amusement park rides there are several shows to watch inside Cedar Point's Amusement Park such as Ice Skating Extravaganza, Gravity Defying Bikes, Rollerblades and Skate Boards, and Signed Seal Delivered, which is people singing and dancing. Most all of these show are entertaining to watch, but they do have other shows that are playing in many of their other theaters which you can check out by visiting http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/park/shows/index.cfm.
However if the amusement park and shows aren't your thing you can always head over to "Challenge Park," inside Cedar Point where you can play arcade games, ride go carts, and play miniature golf on anyone of their two 18 holed golf courses. Heck you could even get something to eat from anyone of their food stands as well to help refuel your body so you can finish having a great time at Cedar Point.
If none of those things I mentioned above excite you there is always the water park in Cedar Point called, "Soak City," where you can swim in tidal pools or take a slide down some pretty crazy water slides. Some of the best water slides to go down in Soak City would be The Speed Slide, The Body Slide, and The Inner Tube Slide. Some of the thrill water slides to go on would be Eerie Falls and Zoom Flume. Now if you're more into floating on an inner tube then you can head over to "Breakers Bay," where you can ride the waves. You could even sit on the beach if you wanted to if your not into swimming and riding water slides and soak up the sun for a bit. For the little ones there is a children's area where the children can slide down little water slides, swim in kiddy pools, and float down a tiny river on tiny floats at slow speeds, which is always fun for children to do, but the children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Now if you get hungry during your visit at Cedar Point you can eat at any four of their inside restaurants such as Game Day Grille, Joe Cool Café, Johnny Rockets, and Midway Market. All these places serve affordable good old American food such as hot dogs, hamburgers, French fries, onion rings, ice cream, and much more. All you have to do is pick what you want to eat and order it and gobble up and then head out for some more fun inside of Cedar Point.
