One of my favorite amusement parks to go to growing up when I was a child was "Canobie Lake Park." Canobie Lake Park was an awesome place to ride amusement park rides all day, play games, and eat cotton candy. It was also the perfect place to enjoy time with my family and friends.Canobie Lake Park is located in Salem, New Hampshire on Route 3. It is open from April until September seven days a week at 10 am, but closing time varies depending on what day it is. You can find out more information on closing times by going to one of their website at http://www.canobie.com/hours.php. The cost to get into Canobie Lake Park is usually around twenty nine dollars for adults and twenty dollars for children, but children under the age of three are free.
Some of the best amusement park rides to ride on for adults at Canobie Lake Park are the Corkscrew Coaster, Pirata, Turkish Twist, Pyschodrome, Wipeout, Boston Tea Party, and Star Blaster. I wouldn't recommend putting any little children on these rides because they might get scared, but if you have a brave child who wants to attempt the adult rides they must be at least 48 inches tall to go on one of them. Some awesome kiddy rides at Canobie Lake Park would be the Kiddie Dragon Coaster, Antique Carousel, Over the Rainbow, Jungle Bounce, Log Flume, and the Kiddie Canoes. These rides are perfect for the little ones to go on and have a good time without getting scared.
Now if you get hungry at Canobie Lake Park after ridding all those awesome amusement park rides you could always go and grab a bite to eat at one of their in park restaurants. Those restaurants are Dancing Bear Canteen, Portofino, Minuteman Fried Clams, Poncho Cantina, and Sons of Liberty. These restaurants serve up Mexican food, Italian food, Seafood, and good old American food. However most of these in park restaurants are a bit expensive, so if you want you can pack a lunch and eat at Canobie Lake if you would like. Other things around the park to get food, snacks or drinks at would be the food stands and ice cream carts. There the perfect place to get a drink, snack, or ice cream to help fill up those hungry bellies.
Then once you are done filling up your bellies you can head over and play some games at "Midway Games." Inside Midway Games at Canobie Lake Park you can play games such as Long Shot, Monkey Drop, Barnyard Golf, Water Gun, Soccer Kick, Skeeball, and The-High Striker. If you get sick of those games you can visit the Wooden Arcade and play several other types of games in there such as pin ball. The Midway Game area in Canobie Lake Park is a great place to win prizes and just have fun playing good old fun games.
So next time your in Salem, New Hampshire and your looking for something to do stop by Canobie Lake Park for some good old fun. I know once you visit for the day and have a rock on time you will want to plan another trip back with your friends and family for another day of fun.
