On a stressful day when you are craving sweets whip up a tasty lavender hot chocolate. Now, I know that sounds strange putting lavender and chocolate together, but they actually compliment each other well. In fact, the lavender helps enhance the chocolaty scent and flavor cocoa has already.
Cup of Milk (Coconut, Almond, Soy, Rice or Goat's Milk can be Used)
Tablespoon of White Cane Sugar (Nectar or Honey can be Used Instead)
Tablespoon of Organic Cocoa Powder (Dark is fine)
Teaspoon of Pure Vanilla Extract
1/4 Teaspoon of Dried Lavender Petals
Pour all the ingredients into a small saucepan and heat on low to medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes, but no longer than that because you will burn the cocoa powder. While the ingredients are heating up combine them with a wire whisk until all the ingredients have dissolved into the milk. However, the lavender flowers will float on top. Once the lavender hot chocolate is hot and ready, pour it into a mug, top it off with whip cream and a few dried lavender flowers and enjoy.
