Once in awhile I like to add a pop of color to my cheeks, but not using a powder or liquid blush from stores. I like to make my very own cheek and lip stains using ingredients from my kitchen and bathroom. This homemade blush is safe for the skin and environment. The ingredients needed to make a homemade cheek and lip stain to add a pop of color to your cheeks and lips would be natural red food coloring, 1 teaspoon of coconut oil, and 1 tablespoon of shea butter. All these ingredients can easily be found at your local grocery store.
The way you make the homemade cheek and lip stain is by first figuring out what shade you want your cheek and lip stain to be. A drop of red food coloring will get you're a light pink natural shade, 2 drops will get you a medium pink shade, and 3 drops will give you a really pink shade. If you want a deep red shade you will need to add 5 to 6 drops of food coloring. Now the way you make the homemade cheek and lip stain is by placing the food coloring, coconut oil, and shea butter into a small microwaveable dish. After you place the bowl with the ingredients into it in the microwave on low heat for 30 seconds or until it is melted completely. Then you will remove the mixture from the microwave and combined the ingredients together with a spoon. You should have a pink liquid mixture at this point. Now you will simply pour the mixture into a small round deep cosmetic container and place the mixture into the refrigerator for 5 to 10 minutes until it becomes solid. Once the mixture is solid you will have a nice simple cheek and lip stain to use to help add a pop of color to your cheeks and lips.
The best way I find to apply the homemade cheek and lip stain is by dipping a cotton swab into the mixture and dipping it onto my cheeks and lips. After I take my fingers and rub it into my cheekbones and lips until I get the nice pop of color I desire to have. You can do it this way if you want too, but if you have a better way of applying it by all means do so. Once the cheek and lip stain is on it should last about 6 to 8 hours before you need to reapply it again. When you need to rinse it off use a good makeup remover and warm water.
So, remember the next time you want a cheek and lip stain to add color too your cheeks and lips to make and use a homemade cheek and lip stain. It is simple to make and safe too use because it isn't loaded with chemicals. I wish you all the best of luck with getting a natural pop of color on your cheeks and lips.
