One of my favorite homemade lip glosses to use in the wintertime is my moisturizing chocolate lip gloss. It feels wonderful on my lips and gives them super moisture and shine.
The ingredients needed to make the chocolate lip gloss are 1 teaspoon of vitamin E oil, ½ teaspoon of jojoba oil, ½ teaspoon of almond oil, ½ teaspoon of aloe vera gel, ½ teaspoon of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of chocolate syrup. If you do not have these ingredients on hand in your kitchen they can all be found at your local grocery stores and whole food stores. Sometimes herbal stores and pharmaceutical stores carry them as well. You are also going to need an empty lip gloss container of your choice.
Making the Lip Gloss
The way you make the chocolate lip gloss is by measuring and pouring the ingredients into a small bowl. Then you will want to combine them together until you get a clear silky colored syrupy looking brown lip gloss.
The lip gloss will not look brown on your lips. It will appear clear and shiny. Once the lip gloss is made you will then need to place it into the lip gloss container.
Applying the Lip Gloss
The best way I find to apply the lip gloss is by taking a makeup lip brush and dipping it into the lip gloss. After, I take the lip brush with the lip gloss on it and apply the lip gloss to my lips in a nice thin even layer for some super shine and moisture. The lip gloss usually last for a couple of hours before you have to reapply it again which I think is very nice.
For those of you who end up making the homemade moisturizing chocolate lip gloss I hope you have a fun and easy time making it. I also hope you enjoy the shine and moisture it adds to your lips when you go to use it.
